Living in All Tenses: Past, Present, and Future

Ever wondered about this "live in the now" thing?

Spoiler: it's not about forgetting your past. It's about living fully in the past, present, and future—
David Whyte style. Are you familiar with this poet and philosopher’s work? He’s one of my favourites. I fantasize about participating in one of his European walking tours, think outdoor poetry readings, pubs, country hillsides, sigh. But I digress. Back to the actual topic.

Imagine if we stopped ranking our states of being. No more favoring enthusiasm over reluctance, or ambition over complacency. What if we just let them talk it out?

Listening to the clash of conflicting states, we could gain a fresh perspective.

Skip fixing everything? That's courage.
Witness without meddling? Healing.
Reflect on ourselves? Pure power.

Receptivity — where past, present, and future swirl together — compassion becomes second nature.

Take 4 minutes to watch DavidWhyte’s “Blessing” poems as interpreted through a visual journey across the Irish landscape in this short film. His voice is like velvet. He shows us how beauty is available to us at any moment if we'd only shift to focus on it.

Feel the essence of this experience by dropping into it here.

Breathing deeply, living fully.
